Past Projects

AIWO has helped raise generous amounts for several area charities and non profit organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House, HSHS St. John's Hospital and the India Association of Greater Springfield. 

Our marquee fundraising event, India Night, is a much anticipated occasion introducing participants to India's vibrant culture and foods. From the time of it's inception India Night has grown tremendously from raising an amount of $6000 in 1996 to $180,500 in 2023 as charitable proceeds. 

AIWO has also supported numerous organizations like the Alzheimer's Association, Simmons Cancer Institute, Boys and Girls Club of Springfield, Family Service Center, Central Illinois Food Bank, The Angel Tree, Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach, Helping Hands, MERCY Communities and Wooden it be Lovely.

Our organization offers self enrichment programs and educational seminars to its members such as estate planning, yoga, nutrition, CPR training, personal health, gardening and interior decor.
