To give back to the community through volunteer work and foster cultural exchange.
Our Purpose
- To promote member involvement in the larger Springfield community through volunteerism and Indian cultural activities.
- To raise funds for charitable purposes in the community or wherever the organization deems necessary to do so.
Our Organization
AIWO is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity organization dedicated to assisting and raising funds for other nonprofit organizations that serve the local community.
AIWO was founded by Ms. Aruna Mathur in 1991. The members are local business owners, physicians, academicians, city and state employees and homemakers who volunteer their time to make a difference in the community they live in.
AIWO is governed by an Executive Committee of four members and a set of bylaws.
